Any other fellow Gearheads in the ranks other than myself? I’ve always loved this band from Maryland - their record Robot Hive/Exodus has a ton of distorted Hammond on it and influence from Purple.
Neil Fallon’s voice is love or hate, I find, and I love his voice. He’s my third favorite singer after Big Ian and Rob Halford.

And please let me know if I’m the only Clutch fan on this forum or not! They’re the only other band that has a menacing Gorgan in some of their music that I can think of!
It has an unusual sound and structure, and I love it very much for that!
One thing I am surprised by is in previous press releases leading up to the release of new material, the band said they were working with the guy who produced their last release, Sunrise on Slaughter Beach, except this is produced by their long time producer-collaborator Machine. I am delighted this is the case, and, I also wonder what happened that caused the change in producers!
I vaguely remember Clutch from about 20 years or so ago. A friend had a few cd’s as he was into the ‘alternative’ hard rock actss, Clutch, Devin Townsend, Primus, Coheed and Cambria to name a few. From my memory Clutch were more rock 'n roll as those links you sent verify. Not too bad a band, although I wasn’t a fan of Fallon the vocalist as such. But good old school style rock music it sounded like. Cheers.
