The topicless banter thread for Uwe, Karin and everyone else can have their fun

Nick - you win :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Well, in Denmark we have (according to Uwe who doesn’t live here) winter and winter. And the winter around x-mas apparently is better because we warm up the houses!

But in real life we have a long spring, warm summer, warm fall, and a little short period of coolish weather in the winter.

When I was a kid we had snowstorms and could play in the snow for weeks. These years we are extremely lucky if we see a little snow

Sounds like where I grew up in NE Scotland.

Dear The Darkness haters, here you go - muah :face_blowing_a_kiss:

I love The Darkness and they’re great entertainment live.

I know art when I see it.

I’m sorry Karin - I do have to object here. I took my kid to see them last year, I whilst I admit it was a great show, Justin Hawkins gives a frankly unrealistic expectation of what a man i their mid 50s in capable of.

I mean - holding a handstand whilst clapping your legs. How can the rest of us live up to that…?:rofl::rofl:

their punkish rock is just to my liking and the lyrics: filled with irony :star_struck:

And especially today of all days I needed something to lift my spirit, and it was Justin Hawkins who made me feel well again

The cute nose wrinkler has been going through this:

And Justin answered back:

How are you all coping today?

I need to hug someone :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Alright Doug, I didn’t know he was that athletic

He is also from Scotland, and he has a cute way of saying ‘every-f-ing’ - does that also goes for you?

this song is so very very great too:

I simply adore the irony!

Justin is English. South East England at that. Frankie is Scottish though.

Ok! Thank you for clearing that up  I just have misunderstood a video I saw where he told about himself. But never mind….

Sad though he had his teeth fixed, looked so cute when they were a bit out of order :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I love them!!

This Marshall advert was so funny too…

Frankie Poullain could teach Steve Morse a thing or two about dressing appropriately for the stage.

Steve Morse had an incredible human aura on stage, his smile, his friendly face, i never was bothered by his shirts, they fitted him like he fitted the band…

And he really had the arms to wear them

…says the guy who had female underwear in his hair

Come on Uwe he didn’t look bad

Thank you :folded_hands:t3:

This reminds me of another song, but for the life of me, cannot remember which song…

I’d say the Beatles and Queen immediately come to mind…
There must be 10,000 songs like this out there.

It is this

This reminds me of ‘The longest kiss’

And yeah Flávio you’re completely right about Beatles and Queen :folded_hands:t3:

I just liked the scent of that underwear on the top of my head, Karin, as it descended with that typical musky dampness, that - sniff … - ain’t no crime! On the contrary …

kfc-stranger-things
And Flavio is just jealous that The Darkness are harmonically quite a bit more skillful and adventurous than that other band I don’t recall who had that Smoke On The Water hit and as chord harmonies go had a certain preference for meat and potatoes. :joy:

Seriously, The Darkness are a very good power pop band employing a hard rock guise for their music. Nothing wrong with that. And more flexible in what they do than Oasis.

Uwe you’re right, Oasis is a pale shadow compared to the Darkness.

However - Oasis have this certain boyish charm and they think so highly of themselves, and I’m always fascinated with people like that.

Justin and whoever writes Darkness’ lyrics, have this self-irony I love and adore so much :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

“I just liked the scent of that underwear on the top of my head, Karin, as it descended with that typical musky dampness, that - sniff … - ain’t no crime!”

! Alright then, so you wear underwear in your hair that a woman (read:women ) just have been wearing - no! Of course there is absolutely no crime in that!

Unless you stole the underwear… if the lady gave it to you freely it is indeed legal :blush:I’ve always been fascinated by fetishises, sadly I don’t have any myself. Unless you call eating healthy a fetish, but that is to stretch the definition quite a bit.

And now I will make my evening salad :green_salad:
