This is the off-Spotify thing I was listening to yesterday, and it was a joy. Jon’s comments, all the jamming, the joy the band exhuded when Steve joined. Who was lucky enough to be there? @MacBeath , I believe? How was it? What can you tell about that night? ---

Not sure I follow? I can’t see a link, but if this is the Turtle Island Shuffle, it was a studio jam recorded at Greg Rike Studios, Orlando, especially for the 1995 DPAS convention, and later released as a CD single by DPAS. It was the only the Gillan/Iommi CD compilation. I wasn’t at the convention as I’d just started a new job and was skint! ---

Purple Island Shuffle? Wasn’t that a track for a charity cause IIRC? > **[Pimple on Penis: 12 Causes & How to Treat](https://www.tuasaude.com/en/lump-or-pimple-on-penis/)** > >   _Nichts Menschliches ist mir fremd._ ---

It was recorded during the Purpendicular sessions for the Deep Purple Appreciation Society convention hosted by Simon Robinson in Sheffield in 1995. I was at the convention so we were the first people to hear MK whatever with Steve Morse. Those who attended were able to buy it as a very limited edition CD single and I still have it. Big Ian added it to the “who cares” charity CD he released with Tony Iommi in 2012 ---
