I will hand it to Shatner for still getting out there at 95. In terms of music, he has always been about the absurd (not so much avant-garde, but definitely absurd), a tradition he very effortlessly attaches himself here as well. If I was to judge his work as music, as I would under normal circumstances be tempted to, it would be a very damning judgement. But, taking it for what it is, in its own context, I am sure there is an audience for this, perhaps even more so than for example “Metal Machine Music” - the reason I mention it being mostly tangential. ---

_ **Daenerys Targaryen -** _ Despite her very young age, yes I guess 🫣🤭 You know I’ve had two GSD, one was named Greif, and somehow I have always found wolves and German Shepherds have a lot in common, but if course all dogs descend from wolves 😃 Even little innocent Anton is part wolfie ☺ Steve had (has?) the overarms to wear that kind of clothing! But let’s not go into that discussion 😁 ---

While my emotions do not exactly erupt, I take a decidedly Vulcanian stance to the Captain’s performance art. ![200](https://forum.thehighwaystar.com/uploads/default/original/1X/280a07440f780b7f882a7af62cea51e7948b1c52.gif) ---

Because they sing _Blitzkrieg_ Bop? Joey Ramone, real name Jeffrey Ross Hyman, was a Jewish kid from Queens. ---

Not really, they’re much too poppy and too often in major keys to be Teutonic. The band I think most of when I hear the Ramones are actually the early Beach Boys or Bubblegum like Yummy Yummy Yummy [https://youtu.be/tUwLPuc1WSo](https://youtu.be/tUwLPuc1WSo) or Sugar, Sugar [https://youtu.be/j3plj\_Xplus](https://youtu.be/j3plj_Xplus) In essence, the Ramones were always more Power Pop than Punk. [![](https://forum.thehighwaystar.com/uploads/default/original/1X/d0964fb001eb9d7582397790596244a30b38357e.jpeg "Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio? (2002 Remaster)") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sGpq1mmnC4) Joey Ramone had the guts to state during the height of Punk that the Ramones had taken BCR’s Saturday Night as a blueprint for their music. [https://youtu.be/7j1s6mqybz4](https://youtu.be/7j1s6mqybz4) He said that the intro chant of Blitzkrieg Bop was a tribute to the Rollers. [https://youtu.be/QAN7D1V0vuI](https://youtu.be/QAN7D1V0vuI) What makes you think they sound German? We’re generally not known for poppy rock unless it’s something like Wallenstein [https://youtu.be/iGCjzXVPgtQ](https://youtu.be/iGCjzXVPgtQ) or Münchener Freiheit … [https://youtu.be/segRjNr4Mf0](https://youtu.be/segRjNr4Mf0) And these guys of course!
