If it happens, they would probably do a Mk II song, sharing vocals, me thinks…
Having him play and sing Burn alone makes the most sense but it’s the type of reunion we won’t see, I’m afraid. Would be too much of a showstopper. But it’s an exciting prospect.
…which would require tuning down for Glenn, which I believe DP has never ever done (in any Mark), but again, unlikely, yet not impossible!!
It will not happen. Ritchie and the current band have history. Glenn doesn’t.

He turned up to say hi in 1993.
Someone announced “Glenn Hughes is coming to greet you guys” to which some member allegedly replied “Glenn who?”.
(By the way, if “From The Desk of Glenn Whoz” rings a bell, then you are of the vintage kind)

When can that misunderstanding ever be eradicated? Such nonsense, all Glenn very graciously did at the RnRHoF was thank Roger for having been there and lay the groundwork for young Glenn to then be in the position to eventually be his successor. Standing on the shoulders of giants so to say. What was so hard to understand about that? I got it immediately and it was actually a very nice thing of Glenn to honor Roger in such a way.
File under “debunked myths” and a general aversion some people have against Glenn and even if he is just giving the time of day.

I like the guy a lot, and I also know sometimes his pride gets the best of him, so let’s get a transcript just to see if my memory is playing a prank on me.
They’ve shifted keys plenty of times to accommodate Ian’s now baritone vocal range - don’t see why it couldn’t be done for Glenn. Hoping this is real, and that Steve is soon to join them.

I’ve quoted what he said so often here that I’m not doing it again, turn up loud and (re)listen for yourself! The interesting thing is that those who advocate that he was ridiculing Glover (Hughes has many qualities, sarcasm isn’t among them at all), never react to the quote, but simply shuffle on sticking to what they would have liked to hear to confirm their prejudices.

I honestly fail to see the point of GH guesting with Purple on stage. The recognition he got at the RnR HoF induction is more than enough, let sleeping dogs lie.
