Joe Satriani Boots

I have 1 Satch bootleg called Made in Switzerland. It’s a radio broadcast. As a result, the sound is very flat. Does anyone know of a good sounding show from this time ?? Thx,

Most of the Japanese dates have excellent recordings. One, Budokan Night, has even had a non-sanctioned release by the company who claims to be putting out old FM broadcasts. It’s still just a good audience recording though it can easily be found in shops.

Thanks,I see that title is on Amazon,

If it‘s the original boot, it is also running at the wrong speed - too slow. More recent versions of the St. Gallen broadcast have been released from Japan, does this (“Live in Switzerland 1994” double CD)

sound better than what you have (they have also corrected the speed)?

That’s the CD I have. Thanks

Mike, hi.

I can correct the speed of the files, so I could work a “fixed” version of this concert (sort of remaster it) and deliver to you digitally.

Still if you’re not fixed on this particular one night - the best of the line-up are still audience bootlegs from December 1993. Especially The Battle from Osaka (3/12/93) and Yokohama gig (5/12/93) are doing rounds in form of fantastic audience tapes and can be found on the web. 1994 part of Mk6 road treks is basically under represented with good quality tapes - in sense of such ones getting close sound wise to the official releases. The Japanese tour on the contrary released quite a plenty of amazingly good ones. The shows were longer, running around 130 minutes and contained longer setist. In 1994 show were shorter (although the band was even more gelled) but omitted plenty of selections from 1993 (Child In Time, Speed King and few TBRO selections were mostly out, cutting down the running show times to approx 100 minutes).

Hi there,

Yes,I’ve heard the 2 shows you mention on YT. I think both sound better than Switzerland '94.

Thanks for your info.
