The white guys and one black guy that performed the harder ‘blues’ rock, are the reasons I get into to that. I respect the original guys creating and doing what they did, but man is it boring or what. Blues interpretations are so much more interesting and melodic among other things. Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher, although Rory was a little more to the point at times in a good way and Robin Trower and also Jimi Hendrix cranked the old blues standards, and they sound so much more alive etc. So much power and as heavy as f..k too. The list goes on. Fantastic rock music, blues rock, rock blues what ever you want to call it. Cheers.

Neither Zep nor Lizzy were blues bands, regarding Free i think they new a bit more about their heritage, especially when Paul Kossof was on, that guy could transcend blues and soul.
To keep it short, in my opinion non of the first wave of Hard Rock would have seen the light of day without the blues roots

I forgot to mention Cream. More white guys cranking the blues and also with some grunt. Led Zeppelin’s take on the blues is a strong one for the compositions they did. Of course they performed and composed within and outside other genres too. Leslie West is another who cranked the blues loud and proud. Johnny Winter too, say no more. I witnessed Winter and his band live back in 1986. So powerful, hard to believe in some ways. A rather thin white dude with that sound and feel and also his voice. Nothing at all wrong with being influenced by other artists and then putting your own spin on it.

I’m not that into Thin Lizzy to conclude anything re their music, but the guy around here likes them a lot.
Led Zep is definitely not a blues band, to me they are a little bit acid rock. Whereas Purple is pure Rock’n’Roll 
OMG Anton is adorable!!! He definitely deserves his own soundtrack!!!
I don’t currently - I had budgies growing up and a cat (the budgies came after the cat passed). The budgies were very funny - my first one managed to copy my father talking like a pirate to her and would say things like, “Pieces of eight! Pieces of eight!” and “Scalliwag bird!”
She would also show her love to him by biting him on the nose and making him bleed. Her name was Mozart. My Father’s nick name for her was Vampire Bird.
My second Budgie, Pippin, was my favourite. She used to say all sorts of things, but then a friend came over one day and said “Well, beep beep to you then!” (literally he said beep beep but he meant something else).
From that point on, all she would say to me and my family and everyone else was “Beep beep to you!” or just “Beep beep!” when we were around.
One time we decided to hide around the corner from her cage to see what she would say when we weren’t there. Sure enough, when she thought she was alone, and we weren’t there, she’d rattle off strings of sentences, it was quite amazing. Apparently she put on an act for us the whole time. Why I’ll never know!

Well, you living in Canada (and sorry if I’m making stereotypical assumptions here) you might be familiar with Huskies? Or Malamutes?
They are big dogs with a lot of fur… Anton on the other hand is quite petite and does not have a full body of hair 
(due to his allergy towards vaccinations I wasn’t aware of until it was too late) so no
But if you’re thinking him being a husky inside, I guess you’re right. He definitely can howl.
