Chief motivation for this forum was in fact to create the ‘everything else’ category to give an outlet to all the verbal diarrhea mindless chit-chat that overwhelmed our comments.

I’m very rustic myself, but my wife, seeing my atrocious skin state, recommended me a couple of LRP products, one of them being the Thermal Water spray. I laughed..“yeah right, because spraying water will make a difference, right?”
Well, IT DID and now I can’t live without it!
So it is a family thing, in fact I just bought eye makeup remover of the same brand for my daughter, etc.

LRP and their thermal water is an amazing product.
But so is Vichy…
If you ever can buy this Danish brand Beauté Pacifique, you’re in for a real treat. And it is produced less than 20 km from where I live.
However ridiculously expensive brands like la Prairie and La Mer are nothing worth! Not at all actually. But because each item set you back 1000s of Danish kr, people automatically think they are really good.

Also, I just queried Claude, Gemini and GPT, and they all agree discussing skin care with Danish ladies you meet on music forums is utterly and completely a sign of NON-alpha-maleness (or any other existing Greek letter for that matter) of any kind

Is it true that Arabellahaus is set to be demolished, by a city regulation stating that buildings can only last 60 years? Or is it Wikipedia nonsense?
I don’t think any of Musicland Studios survived (perhaps it’s a laundry room now), but still, would be sad to see such a piece of history vanish for ever… 
Maybe you can shed some light on this?

I dunno about the - ugly - building, but the operation of Musicland studios came to halt as early as the beginning 90s when the construction of underground/subway train tracks and station close by made the continuance of recording sessions impossible due to the noise and tremors. Apparently, no one had taken that into consideration in the planning phase. Which was a real blow to Germany as a location for international recording.
Reinhold Mack disagrees according to Wikipedia:
Musicland Studios closed at the beginning of the 1990s, as noise from the nearby U4 metro was interfering with the quality of the studio’s recordings. However, Reinhold Mack vehemently contradicts this view in a BR radio feature from 2025: it was not the construction of the underground railway, but a rent increase of almost 100 per cent that spelled the end for the studio.
It was probably both. A top tier recording studio needs to constantly reinvent and refurbish itself, if the current location isn’t optimal for that anymore or too expensive, you move the technology somewhere else. Maybe the age of lavish traditional recording studios was also coming to an end at the dawn of the 90s as digitalization loomed.
PS: What my despicable wormtongue actually hissed was: “Masssterrr, Masterrrr, der Blackmohr hat seine Schuldigkeit getan, der Blackmohr soll weichen …”!
